Re "Key Bush aides' e-mail may be lost," April 12
It's becoming quite clear with every new political scandal that the GOP has hatched a plan to privatize the White House by issuing laptop computers provided by the Republican National Committee.
Apparently the GOP wanted to have the United States turned into a permanent Republican majority and illegally bypass the Hatch Act. Federal Employees may not engage in political activity while on duty or in a government office. Also, federal employees may not use official authority or influence to interfere with an election. It certainly appears that's what the U.S. attorneys' controversy is all about.
The thousands of lost e-mails make President Nixon's 18 minutes of missing tape look like a mosquito compared to today's GOP elephant.
